Quotation Marks: That's Why They Call it "Gobble'licious"



I'll take a pretend ham sandwich. On the other hand, make that a fake veggie wrap. No, wait! Mmm, those imposter salads sure look yummy.

Thanks to @Rikoshi for alerting the grammar cops to this class B misdemeanor. 

Where does Jamba Juice go wrong? It uses unnecessary quotation marks.

Quick rule: 
  • Use quotation marks when you want to alert the reader that you don't really mean what you say. Think of it as a private wink.
  • Don't use quotation marks when you mean what you say.

Correction: 
  • We do have a full variety of salads, sandwiches, and wraps.
